Thank you for supporting us

Age Concern Southland operates in an environment of increasing demand as New Zealand’s population ages.

Age Concern Southland’s main funding is from membership and community grants, therefore we rely on donations to enable us to provide information, services, support, and programmes to more than 10,000 older Southland residents per year.

We receive only partial funding for our Elder Abuse Response Services from central Government. Our organisation relies primarily on the generosity of the community to fund our services and advocacy for older people.

Your donation will give lasting help to people from Southland in need. You can immediately support the work we do for Southland’s older people by donating now.

How Can You Help?

We’d love your support.

Leave A Gift In Your Will

Leaving a bequest to Age Concern Southland will directly help older people enjoy a full life for more than your lifetime.

Making A Bequest

If you wish to make a gift of all or part of your estate to a specific organisation like Age Concern Southland this is called a Bequest. This may take the following forms:

– A percentage or financial portion of your estate

– A specific asset(s) such as property or shares

– A cash legacy

A Will is a formal record of your wishes and of the way you want your assets distributed. It is an important and necessary legal document. A Will must be prepared and signed according to strict rules to be effective. You should seek assistance about this. If you die without making a Will, your estate (your money and property) will be divided between your near relatives in proportions fixed by law, which may not be what you wanted.
